I live in a constant state of sonder
A heavy realization, that does not come easily.
Weighing heavy in my arms
Settling in my chest
and hindering my ability to breath
The awareness that each person I walk by has a life as vivid and complex as the one I live
The awareness that
It submerges me in a sense of overwhelming unimportance
And in the midst of the multitude of others who walk this planet
I am dragged down to the depths of the murky sea
Engulfed in the fear that one day I will wither away with no one to cherish the memory of my name
